You can share a song as a GarageBand project or as an audio file. You can share GarageBand songs to SoundCloud or to another app on your device. You can send a song in an email, share to nearby devices using AirDrop, or use it as a ringtone.

In Logic Pro and GarageBand for Mac, you can share a special GarageBand for iOS-compatible version of your project to iCloud. You can add, edit, and arrange new tracks in GarageBand for iOS. When you reopen the project in Logic Pro or GarageBand for Mac, the new tracks are added to the original project.
Send a song to iTunes
Drag the song from the GarageBand Documents list to the Finder.
Click the song, click Save As, navigate to the location where you want to save the song or folder, then click Save.
Tap Share, tap Save to Files, locate and tap the GarageBand folder on your iPad, then tap Add.
A stereo audio file is saved to the GarageBand folder on your iPad.
Do one of the following:
GarageBand projects in the GarageBand folder on your iPad also appear in the GarageBand Documents list in iTunes. Save them to your computer, as described in Step 5.
You can open a GarageBand project in GarageBand on your Mac, or play the audio file in iTunes on your computer. You can’t open a GarageBand project on a Windows computer.

GarageBand uses the GarageBand File Transfer folder in the My Songs browser to store audio files that you can import into GarageBand songs or use with other music apps. You can save the GarageBand File Transfer folder to your computer to create a backup or to use with other apps.
Drag the GarageBand File Transfer folder from the GarageBand Documents list to the Finder.
Click the GarageBand File Transfer folder, click Save As, navigate to the location where you want to save it, then click Save.
In the My Songs browser, tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, then tap Song.
After you tap Song, you can add the artist, composer, and title information. You can also choose the audio quality and an image for the audio file.
Tap Share, then tap iTunes.

You can’t send the email until you add at least one recipient.

You can open a GarageBand song in iMovie or another app on your device. The app must be compatible with the “Open in” feature.

Send a GarageBand project: Tap Project.
A list shows apps that can open the song. If there are no compatible apps on your device, the list is empty.
Tap the icon of the app you want to open the song in.
Import a GarageBand for iOS song
You can use iTunes to import a GarageBand for iOS song that was made on another iOS device. Because GarageBand for Mac offers features and functionality not found in GarageBand for iOS, you can’t import a GarageBand for Mac song to GarageBand for iOS.
Drag a song to the GarageBand Documents list.
Click Add, navigate to the location of the song you want to add, select it, then click Choose.
Connect your iPad to your computer and open iTunes on your computer.

Share a song to nearby devices using AirDrop
You can share songs to other iOS devices using AirDrop. AirDrop is available for devices featuring a Lightning connector.
Before sharing a song using AirDrop, you must turn AirDrop on in Control Center. You can also choose whether to share with all devices using AirDrop, or only those in your Contacts.
Send a stereo audio file: Tap Song, then tap Share.
After you tap Song, you can add the artist, composer, and title information. You can also choose the audio quality and an image for the audio file.
Send a GarageBand project: Tap Project.
In the My Songs browser, tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, then do one of the following:
Tap the device you want to share with.
To return to the My Songs browser without sharing the song, tap Cancel.
A notification appears on the device it is shared with. After the song is downloaded to the device, it opens in GarageBand (if GarageBand is the only compatible app) or presents a list of compatible music apps.
Collaborate with other users
You can invite people to collaborate with you on songs stored in iCloud Drive. When you or one of the other users close a song you are collaborating on or close GarageBand, the song is updated with the latest changes in iCloud Drive. If changes made on multiple devices are out of sync, a copy of the song with the new changes is saved to the same location as the original in iCloud Drive. Tap Message to share a link to your song using Messages.
Tap Mail to send a link to your song in an email.
Tap Copy Link to copy the link to your song to the clipboard.
If “Only people you invite” is selected in Share Options, a window appears where you can add people that can access the song. When you are done, tap Copy Link.
In the My Songs browser, tap iCloud Drive in the sidebar, and locate the song you want to share.
Tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, tap Project, then tap Add People.
Tap Share Options to change access and permissions settings.
Do one of the following:
Send a GarageBand song to SoundCloud
Open SoundCloud in Safari: Tap Visit.
Send an email with a link to the song on SoundCloud: Tap Tell a Friend.
Return to GarageBand: Tap Close.

Sending a song to Youku is available when a Chinese keyboard is chosen on your device.
In the My Songs browser, tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, then tap Song.
After you tap Song, you can add the artist, composer, and title information. You can also choose the audio quality and an image for the audio file.
Tap Share, then tap Youku.
If you are not logged in to Youku, log in.
Type a title and description for the song.
To choose an image for the song, tap Photos, then locate and tap the image.
Tap the Privacy setting you want the song to have, then tap Share.
The song is uploaded to Youku as a movie.
Share a GarageBand song using a sharing extension
Send a stereo audio file: Tap Song, then tap Share.

Share a GarageBand song as a ringtone or text tone

In the Ringtone Export Successful panel, do one of the following:
Return to the My Songs browser: Tap OK.
Choose a use for the ringtone: Tap “Use sound as,” then do one of the following:
Use the ringtone as your standard ringtone, replacing the existing ringtone: Tap Standard Ringtone.
Use the ringtone as your standard text tone, replacing the existing text tone: Tap Standard Text Tone.
See a list of your contacts: Tap “Assign to contact,” then tap the contact you want to use the ringtone with.
Return to the My Songs browser without assigning the ringtone: Tap Done.
In the My Songs browser, tap Select, then tap the song you want to export.
Tap Share, then tap Ringtone.
The Export Ringtone panel opens, showing the name for the ringtone. By default, the ringtone uses the same name as the song.
The maximum length for exported ringtones is 30 seconds. If the exported ringtone exceeds the maximum length, a dialog appears. Tap Continue to have GarageBand shorten the ringtone automatically, or tap Cancel to return to the song so you can shorten it.
To rename the ringtone, tap the name and type a new name.

Send a GarageBand song to YouTube or Facebook via iMovie
In the My Songs browser, tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, then tap Song.
After you tap Song, you can add the artist, composer, and title information. You can also choose the audio quality of the file, and choose an image for the audio file.
Tap Share, then tap Copy to iMovie.
Add your idea to a new iMovie project, then share the resulting movie to YouTube or Facebook.
If iMovie is not installed on your device, download it from the App Store.

Напомним, что приложение GarageBand предназначено для создания музыки и обучения игре на различных музыкальных инструментах.
МЕНЮ ПРОГРАММЫ
GarageBand является настолько многофункциональным приложением, что не все функции были размещены на многочисленных панелях рабочего окна. Часть функций была размещена в меню программы, обеспечивающем быстрый доступ к ним. Из всего меню наибольший интерес для нас представляют разделы Дорожка, Управление, Экспорт и, пожалуй, Окно . О них мы сейчас и расскажем.
- Дорожка
Если вы читали прошлый выпуск обзора, посвященного интерфейсу GarageBand, то должны помнить о существовании мастер-дорожки, которая изначально скрыта от пользователя, хотя и существует в каждом проекте. Для того, чтобы отобразить ее в списке прочих дорожек совсем необязательно погружаться в дебри настроек панели свойств дорожки (о ней мы тоже упоминали в прошлом выпуске) — можно поступить гораздо проще и включить отображение мастер-дорожки, используя одноименную строку в разделе Дорожка меню программы (Дорожка -> Показать мастер-дорожку ), либо использовать шорткат, указаный справа от названия пункта меню. К слову сказать, любая функция, прописанная в меню приложения, имеет свой шорткат, и если у пользователя хватит терпения выучить и запомнить все шорткаты, то он сможет вообще не заглядывать в меню в поисках той или иной функции.
В этом же разделе меню можно включить показ дорожки аранжировки
. Известно, как минимум, три определения аранжировки, но, применительно к GarageBand этим термином обозначается деятельность по подбору темпа мелодии, ее стиля, размера, тембра – в общем все, что связано с доработкой мелодии.
Показ дорожки подкаста
или фильма
позволит, не меняя текущего режима работы, заняться созданием подкаста или звукового сопровождения к фильму. Функция ведения многоканальной записи
позволит одновременно записывать сразу несколько дорожек, а не поочередно для каждого инструмента.
Пункт Показать блокировку дорожки позволит блокировать или разблокировать дорожку одним кликом мыши по специальной иконке, которая появится в мини-тулбаре каждой дорожки. Блокировка позволит защитить регионы дорожки от правки и процесс обработки производить, размещая дорожку на жестком диске, тем самым разгружая центральный процессор Мака.
- Управление
Пункты раздела Управление в целом дублируют аналогичные функции доступные в на панели инструментов программы, но среди них есть некоторые функции, например, приглушение , доступ к которым возможен только из этого раздела.
Функция приглушения
добавляет в мини-тулбар каждой дорожки еще одну кнопку, позволяющую кликом мыши включить/выключить функцию приоритета для данной дорожки или для других дорожек.
Здесь же можно закрепить кривые автоматизации за регионами, а также выбрать ту или иную, предварительно сделанную, настройку для дорожки, производя запись «живой» гитары.
- Экспорт
Варианты экспорта готового аудиоматериала, а их целых 6 видов, мы рассмотрим чуть ниже, при обзоре функций импорта/экспорта.
- Окно
Раздел примечателен тем, что позволяет вызвать панель виртуальной или нотной клавиатуры
в любом режиме работы GarageBand, а не только в режиме Piano
, в котором та панель доступна изначально.
Нотная клавиатура нам показалась более удобной, чем виртуальная и, по нашему мнению, является лучшей альтернативой, если USB- или MIDI-клавиатуры под рукой нет.
Воспользовавшись пунктом меню Окно -> Блокнот , можно вызвать небольшую панель Блокнота , позволяющего делать текстовые заметки по текущему проекту.
МЕНЮ НАСТРОЕК ПРИЛОЖЕНИЯ
Меню настроек GarageBand достаточно простое, не содержит каких-либо важных настроек и поэтому вполне можно обойтись без предварительной настройки приложения. Тем не менее, наибольший интерес представляют вкладки Аудио/MIDI и Дополнения .
- Аудио/MIDI
Настройка аудиовходов/выходов и чувствительности клавиш клавиатуры при ее использовании в качестве клавиш синтезатора.
- Дополнения
Настройки, расположенные в этой вкладке, позволяют управлять автоматической нормализацией звука при экспорте проектов, а также устанавливать качество записанного и экспортированного аудиоматериала.
Если и начинать предварительную настройку GarageBand под свои интересы, то начинать надо именно с этих вкладок.
ФУНКЦИИ ИМПОРТА
С импортом все обстоит достаточно консервативно. Импорт проектов осуществляется на специальной вкладке Ассистента , либо в меню программы GarageBand, через пункты Файл -> Открыть или Файл -> Открыть недавно использованные .
Импорт аудиофайлов совместимых форматов осуществляется через панель Медиабраузера (из библиотеки iTunes), либо более просто — перетаскиванием на окно приложения, при этом для каждого добавленного будет создана отдельная дорожка.
ФУНКЦИИ ЭКСПОРТА
Функции экспорта готовых треков более разнообразны и насчитывают 6 вариантов, любой из которых может быть выбран в разделе Экспорт меню программы. Сохранение же самих проектов производится в обычном порядке, через пункты меню Файл -> Сохранить или Файл -> Сохранить, как.. .
- Отправить песню в iTunes . Позволяет экспортировать созданную музыкальную композицию в библиотеку iTunes, в раздел музыки. Перед началом процесса экспорта можно задать название плейлиста iTunes, в который автоматически будет добавлен экспортируемый объект, а также прописать имена исполнителя, композитора и название альбома. По умолчанию трек экспортируется в несжатом варианте, но при желании его можно сжать, используя AAC или MP3 кодеки. Для каждого из кодеков существует несколько готовых пресетов настроек, но, при желании, пользователь может самостоятельно выставить нужные настройки сжатия аудио.
- Отправить рингтон в iTunes . При создании рингтонов в GarageBand следует помнить о том, что рингтон должен состоять из повторяющейся части песни длительностью не более 40 секунд . Если условие соблюдено, то при выборе данного варианта экспорта рингтон будет автоматически обработан и отправлен в библиотеку iTunes, в раздел рингтонов. Если же длина трека превышает заданную, то пользователю будет предложено самостоятельно изменить его длину, либо предоставить программе право самой определить фрагмент трека для экспорта. При автоматическом выборе для экспорта отмечаются, как правило, первые 40 секунд трека, но пользователь всегда сможет скорректировать выбор приложения.
- Отправить подкаст в iWeb . Возможность экспортировать вновь созданный подкаст в приложение iWeb для использования при создании веб-сайта. Трек экспортируется только с компрессией (AAC, MP3 ), возможности настройки кодирования аналогичны тем, что используются при экспорте аудиотрека в библиотеку iTunes.
- Отправить фильм в iDVD . Если пользователь использует GarageBand для создания звукового оформления для фильма или видеоролика, то выходной видеофайл с обновленной звуковой дорожкой можно передать в приложение iDVD для последующего создания DVD диска с ним. Никаких дополнительных настроек при экспорте фильма не предусматривается.
- Экспортировать песню/фильм на диск . Под этим названием скрывается функция экспорта готового аудио- или видеотрека в виде файла в любую папку жесткого диска. Возможности настройки выходных форматов аудио аналогичны настройкам вышеописанных вариантов экспорта. При экспорте видео пользователь может выбрать любой из 6 возможных пресетов (электронная почта, веб, web-streaming, iPod, AppleTV, высокое качество ), либо использовать собственные настройки компрессии.
- Записать песню на CD . Возможность записать готовый трек на компакт-диск в формате AudioCD. GarageBand умеет очищать перезаписываемые диски и после записи не финализировать диск, тем самым оставляя возможность дописывания файлов.

In the My Songs browser, tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, then do one of the following:
Tap the device you want to share with.
To return to the My Songs browser without sharing the song, tap Cancel.
A notification appears on the device it is shared with. After the song is downloaded to the device, it opens in GarageBand (if GarageBand is the only compatible app) or presents a list of compatible music apps.
Collaborate with other users
You can invite people to collaborate with you on songs stored in iCloud Drive. When you or one of the other users close a song you are collaborating on or close GarageBand, the song is updated with the latest changes in iCloud Drive. If changes made on multiple devices are out of sync, a copy of the song with the new changes is saved to the same location as the original in iCloud Drive. For more information about iCloud, see Use iCloud with GarageBand .
Tap Message to share a link to your song using Messages.
Tap Mail to send a link to your song in an email.
Tap Copy Link to copy the link to your song to the clipboard.
If “Only people you invite” is selected in Share Options, a window appears where you can add people that can access the song. When you are done, tap Copy Link.
In the My Songs browser, tap iCloud Drive in the sidebar, and locate the song you want to share.
Tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, tap Project, then tap Add People.
Tap Share Options to change access and permissions settings.
Do one of the following:
Send a GarageBand song to SoundCloud
Open SoundCloud in Safari: Tap Visit.
Send an email with a link to the song on SoundCloud: Tap Tell a Friend.
Return to GarageBand: Tap Close.
In the My Songs browser, tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, then tap Song.
After you tap Song, you can add the artist, composer, and title information. You can also choose the audio quality and an image for the audio file.
Tap Share, then tap SoundCloud.
If you are not logged in to SoundCloud, log in.
Type a title for the song.
Tap Continue and tap the Visibility, Permissions, and Quality settings you want the song to have, then tap Share.
The song is uploaded to SoundCloud as an audio file with the selected quality setting.

Send a GarageBand song to Youku
Sending a song to Youku is available when a Chinese keyboard is chosen on your device.
In the My Songs browser, tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, then tap Song.
After you tap Song, you can add the artist, composer, and title information. You can also choose the audio quality and an image for the audio file.
Tap Share, then tap Youku.
If you are not logged in to Youku, log in.
Type a title and description for the song.
To choose an image for the song, tap Photos, then locate and tap the image.
Tap the Privacy setting you want the song to have, then tap Share.
The song is uploaded to Youku as a movie.
Share a GarageBand song using a sharing extension
Send a stereo audio file: Tap Song, then tap Share.
After you tap Song, you can add the artist, composer, and title information. You can also choose the audio quality and an image for the audio file.
Send a GarageBand project: Tap Project.
In the My Songs browser, tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, then do one of the following:
Tap the icon for the social network or service.
Follow the instructions in the dialog for your social network or service.
Before you can share GarageBand songs using a sharing extension, you must install one or more apps that include a sharing extension.
Share a GarageBand song as a ringtone or text tone

In the Ringtone Export Successful panel, do one of the following:
Return to the My Songs browser: Tap OK.
Choose a use for the ringtone: Tap “Use sound as,” then do one of the following:
Use the ringtone as your standard ringtone, replacing the existing ringtone: Tap Standard Ringtone.
Use the ringtone as your standard text tone, replacing the existing text tone: Tap Standard Text Tone.
See a list of your contacts: Tap “Assign to contact,” then tap the contact you want to use the ringtone with.
Return to the My Songs browser without assigning the ringtone: Tap Done.
In the My Songs browser, tap Select, then tap the song you want to export.
Tap Share, then tap Ringtone.
The Export Ringtone panel opens, showing the name for the ringtone. By default, the ringtone uses the same name as the song.
The maximum length for exported ringtones is 30 seconds. If the exported ringtone exceeds the maximum length, a dialog appears. Tap Continue to have GarageBand shorten the ringtone automatically, or tap Cancel to return to the song so you can shorten it.
To rename the ringtone, tap the name and type a new name.

Send a GarageBand song to YouTube or Facebook via iMovie
In the My Songs browser, tap the Select button, tap the song you want to share, tap Share, then tap Song.
After you tap Song, you can add the artist, composer, and title information. You can also choose the audio quality of the file, and choose an image for the audio file.
Tap Share, then tap Copy to iMovie.
Add your idea to a new iMovie project, then share the resulting movie to YouTube or Facebook.
If iMovie is not installed on your device, download it from the App Store.
